A Third Party user deploys virtual machines (VMs) into a vApp.
A virtual machine is a tightly isolated software container created to run on virtualized platforms. It has four key virtualized resources (CPU, RAM, Storage, and Networking); but requires the installation of an Operating System.
A virtual machine consists of several types of files that you store on a supported storage device. The key files that make up a virtual machine are the configuration file, virtual disk file, NVRAM setting file, and the log file.
A virtual machine has all the characteristics of a physical computer whilst offering benefits such as redundancy and portability.
