Digital Terrain Model - DTMDigital Surface Model - DSM
Model of the bare earth. Includes not only heights and elevations but other geographical elements and natural features such as rivers, ridge lines, etc..
It is produced by manually editing the DSM to remove vegetation and cultural features, leaving only elevations of natural terrain features.

Representation of the reflective surfaces of trees, buildings, and other features elevated above the bare earth.
The DSM contains elevations of natural terrain features, in addition to vegetation and cultural features such as buildings.
